folder-color software package provides folder color for nautilus, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install folder-color
folder-color is installed in your system.
Make ensure the folder-color package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep folder-color *
You will get with folder-color package name, version, architecture and description in a table
